Mary Bennett (MB) grew up in New Bern, North Carolina just a few streets down from the Webb family, where she and Tanner became close friends and neighbors. After graduating from New Bern High School and UNC Chapel Hill, she left her home state to pursue her passion: the prevention of political and targeted violence. A published researcher, die-hard Tar Heel, and advocate for a better world, MB has spent over half a decade guiding and supporting nonprofit organizations with missions ranging from niche community causes to national interests.

Today, MB, her husband, and their pup Murph are back where it all started – and couldn't be happier about it. She is honored to bring her experience home and help carry the Together4Tanner Foundation into a new chapter of serving and building more resilient communities for student-athletes in New Bern, Craven County, and beyond.
